Emily is Founder and CEO of Beryl (formerly Blaze), an urban mobility brand creating technology for bike sharing schemes and consumer cyclists globally. Beryl's flagship product is the Laserlight, a front light tackling the blind-spot by projecting the green symbol of a bike onto the road ahead of the cyclist, currently built into the cycle hire bikes of London, New York Montreal and Glasgow. Beryl also co-designed the new Santander Cycle for London, providing lights, laser, GPS, sensors, connectivity and data capabilities. This Autumn they launched their own bike share platform as well as a range of new consumer products. Emily dropped out of Physics at Oxford University for Product Design in Brighton, where the Laserlight was her final year project. In 2017 Emily was awarded an MBE from the Queen for her contributions to Transport and the Economy.
