Cindy Rose

Cindy was appointed CEO of Microsoft UK in July 2016.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Cindy was Managing Director of the UK Consumer division at Vodafone, leading their transformation from mobile pure play to quad play with the launch of Vodafone broadband and the development of Vodafone TV. She also led the expansion of Vodafone’s retail store estate from 350 stores to over 500 stores and returned the business to growth after 12 consecutive quarters of revenue decline.

Cindy is a graduate of Columbia University and New York Law School. Soon after graduation, she relocated to the UK, qualified as a UK Solicitor and practiced at Allen & Overy in London.

From there, she became General Counsel for The Walt Disney Company EMEA. Changing roles within Disney every few years, she worked her way up to Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Disney Interactive Media Group

After 15 years at Disney, Cindy moved to Virgin Media as Executive Director of Digital Entertainment. She managed the development and commercial deployment of Tivo and Virgin Media TV Anywhere, before joining Vodafone in 2013.

In March 2013, Cindy also joined the Board of Informa plc, a FTSE 100 company, as an independent Non-Executive Director. She serves on both the Audit and Nominations Committees of the Board.
